8 Months

(2 week late.............AGAIN!)

Miss Priss is growing like a weed. I know I say this every month, but we fall in love with her more and more every day. She is so precious and sweet and I can't imagine my life with out her.

At 8 months Mogran:

weighs 20 pounds and is 26 inches long. I don't know any percentages because we haven't been to the doctor since her 6 month check up and don't go back until February. I do know how much she weighs and how long she is because we have been to the doctor here in West Plains twice in the past 2 weeks. We have never had to take Morgan to the doctor besides her regular check-ups. She has not been sick yet and I hope it stays that way for several more months. The first time I took her to the doctor it was for a rash on her cheeks and on the back of her leg. She had had it for a couple of days and it wasn't getting any better. It wasn't really spreading but it wasn't getting better. Unfortunately the doctor thinks it is eczema. I really hated to hear this especially since it's on her cheeks. Now that I know what it is, I have felt rough patches other places on her body. They aren't red or rash like but I can definitely feel them. Praying they don't get worse. The second time we had to take her to the doctor it was because we thought she was getting sick. She had been gagging and had thrown up. I was told that the gagging might be because of a sore throat. The doctor said there was not one single thing wrong with her. Oh well, glad she's ok. Just wish we knew why she was gagging.

is beginning to get back on a sleeping schedule. In the past 2 or 3 weeks she has been going to sleep around 9:00 and not waking up until 5:00. A couple of times she has woken up at around 12:00 or 2:00, had cried for a couple of minutes and gone back to sleep. She use to sleep until 5:00, take a bottle and then go back to sleep until 8:00 but the past couple of days she has not wanted to go back to sleep at 5:00. Hoping that is just a phase. So very thankful she is back on somewhat of a schedule.

has been really weird about taking a bottle. We still make her 6 ounces but sometimes she will take it all and sometimes (more then not) she will only drink a couple of ounces. Not really sure what the issue is there.

is eating off of our plates more and more. She knows exactly what you are doing when you sit down to eat and will promptly make her way over to you. There isn't much that she won't eat. I'm hoping she stays this way. I am a super picky eater but her daddy is not. He will eat just about anything and so far, so will Morgan. I did try to give her a little piece of the inside of a grape the other day. She wallered it around in her mouth for a little bit and then spit it out. Not sure if she didn't like the texture or didn't like the taste.

is loving snacks and no longer chokes on them. She loves baby puffs, yogurt melts, crackers, vanilla wafers, and lil' crunchies. I'm so glad she is doing better with this. It was scary to give her anything at all at first because she would get choked every time.

loves to push things around. She pushes her bumbo seat, books, boxes, basically anything she can get to slide.

has started to inch herself along the side of the couch while holding on. She is getting braver and braver all the time. She now will stand up and hold on to something but will let go with one hand. She has also gone from the coffee table to the couch.

loves to wave hi and will sometimes wave bye. She LOVES to look in the mirror and see "the baby".

goes back and forth with giving kisses. Some days she will give you as many as you want, other days she won't give you any. It's so sweet to watch her too because she will give a big smile after she kisses you. So sweet! She also learned to wink. She closes both eyes and grins.  She refuses to do it on cue now and will do it at the most random times.

still LOVES bath time and moved to the big bath about a month ago. She loves to play with her toys and splash. She also plays a little game with daddy when he tries to drain the water. When she hears the noise of the water going down she makes her way to the drain and tries to close it. Daddy opens it, she closes it, back and forth until the water is gone. Every time I have tried to get this on camera she won't do it. ANY time I get the camera out to record her she always stops!! Stinker :)

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my little girl!
