Sweet Moment
I love moments like this, moments when my angel
baby picks a book and sits still in my lap to listen.
She doesn't do still very often. She has to be moving
constantly, so still, quiet moments are sweet and
cherished!
I know one day, she will not want to sit
in my lap and have mommy read to her.
I also know this day will come all too soon.
But for now, I will read to this sweet little girl and
enjoy the occasional stillness.

Sidewalk Chalk Paint
As corny as it sounds, I am so thankful for Pinterest. I
honestly feel I am and will be a better mom because of it.
I know, I know. That sounds so dumb, but really. I am not
always a creative person, and there are so many people
that are! When I saw the pin for sidewalk chalk paint, I knew
I had to try it. I mean, I am
the adult and I wanted to play with it.
It was super easy to make and Morgan loved it. I was
a little worried about it staining her after she painted her
neck orange, but thankfully most of it came right off with
a bath. When it rained it disappeared from the driveway too.
I loved watching her play and explore. Cory, on the other
hand, not so much. The man dislikes messes. So when she
put the paint brush in her mouth, squeezed the brush and paint
went dripping down her leg, and smeared paint all over the
driveway he just about freaked out. I reassured him that it would
be fine and laughed my head off. I'm not sure what was
more funny, Morgan or him!
I can't wait to do it again and try some more Pinterest
inspiredactivities! We are having a wonderful summer
with our sweet little girl and are so blessed that we get our
summers off with her. Not many people get blessed with that!!

Russell Sprout
Daddy had a Russell Sprout shirt when he
was a baby. When we found out we were pregnant
we knew we had to get Morgan one too. We talked
about it a couple of times but I forgot all about it.
Cory finally ordered it and it looks super cute on her.
Course I think she looks cute in everything!!
She is our very own Russell Sprout!

Abby and Morgan
Almost 2 and 12 months old
She is this little girl's best friend! Morgan loves
her so much. She gets super excited to see her
and does just about everything Abby does.
She's going to grow up thinking Abby is a human
and not a dog, or that she is a dog.
Abby puts up with most of the "loves" Morgan gives
her but heads the other way every once in a while.
Abby has never growled, nipped at, or bitten Morgan.
In fact, she is pretty easy with her and plays more
gentle with her then she does us. Morgan can
be very rough with her, but Abby just deals with it.
Such a good best friend!
