Thankful for our little turkey
Morgan 7 months
How could we not be? She is definitely the cutest little turkey I have ever seen!
We are so very thankful for this sweet, precious baby girl. She is developing her own
little personality and becoming even more sweeter and lovable. We are so thankful for
those slobbery baby kisses, gorgeous smiles when she sees us, laughs of excitement when
we do something silly, and a little cuddle time when she's sleepy or taking a bottle. We always
have so many things to be thankful for but this Thanksgiving we have an extra precious little
girl to be thankful for. So very glad that Jesus had a plan and He knew what He was doing
when we went through our two years of infertility, and in the end gave us the most
amazing gift we would ever receive. So thankful that He knew exactly what we needed in
our lives when He sent Miss Morgan to us. We love her more then anything!

Morgan's First Turkey Day
This year for Thanksgiving we went to Indiana to be with my family. Everybody was able to make it except for Amanda and Kayden. We really missed them and hope they can come next year. I was super excited for Morgan to try some yummy food at Thanksgiving and was so glad she ended up awake during the meal. She was taking a nap and everybody kept saying it was almost time to eat. I was freaking just a little inside because I really didn't want her to miss it. I knew she wouldn't remember nor did she care if she was awake, but I wanted her there and I wanted her to eat some yummy food with us. She got to try mashed potatoes, gravy, deviled eggs, cranberry sauce, and stuffing. She really liked it all.

I really enjoyed watching the babies play and Morgan interact with other kids. She doesn't get much interaction with other kids because she is home all day with my mom. Her and Katherine were so funny because one would start crying and then the other would start crying for no reason at all. Gracie seemed to enjoy the babies too. I think it was because she wasn't the baby and could "boss" the little ones around. No, she really didn't boss them but she enjoyed helping them out and probably having little people around her size.

While we were there we got pictures of all the grand kids (except Amanda) with the grandparents and all the great grand kids (except Kayden) with grandparents. I would love to get them professionally done one day, but for now these will do.

7 months
(late again! I can't seem to get this done on time. I guess as long as I get it done, right?)
At 7 month Morgan:
is wearing 6-9 month clothing but some are getting too small, mainly footed pajamas. She can wear 9 month and a couple 12 month. She also wears size 3 diaper and size 3 shoe.
is still not sleeping good at night, and sometimes not good during the day either. Ever since we moved and went to work she has not done well. She is now waking up between 10:00 and 12:00, we put her back to sleep, then wakes up at 2:30 for a bottle, and the past few weeks has started waking up at 5:00am AND not going back to sleep!! Let me just say, I am EXHAUSTED!! I love this little girl more then anything, but I need my sleep. The problem with her waking up at 5:00 and not going back to sleep is that I get up at 5:15 to get ready to go to work. If she wakes up it takes usually about 20-30 minutes to get her back to sleep. If she doesn't go back to sleep then you have watch her and make sure she doesn't get into stuff. Either way, I end up being late to work. We have got to get this little girl on a better schedule. Or any schedule would be better then what she is doing now. I miss my sleeping 9-10 hours little girl. Not only do I need my sleep but I know she does too.
is still eating fruit for breakfast and veggies and a meat for dinner and is eating about 5 bottles during the day and night together. We have given her some "real" food and for the most part she has liked everything. At Thanksgiving she got mashed potatoes, gravy, and cranberry sauce. She has also had yogurt, mashed sweet potatoes, frozen yogurt, oatmeal, and avocado. I started giving her the baby cereal puffs and baby yogurt melts, and she does ok with them. I usually bite them in half because they seem too big for her right now. She has choked a couple of times but seems to be getting the hang of it.
drinks out of a sippy cup and has learned to put her head back to get something out of it. She will drink water and juice and loves both of them equally. She also holds her own bottle but sometimes gets lazy about it and wants you to hold it for her.
is getting more and more interested in what we are eating and has started to reach for it.
got her two bottom teeth within days of each other on Nov. 28 and 30. She has found them with her tongue and feels them with it all the time. She did great while getting them. No diarrhea, no fever, and no fussiness, well not anymore than usual ;)
is really starting to throw fits now. When you take something away from her, put her down when she doesn't want to be put down, or move her she will squeal and whale her arms around in anger. She has also started to get mad at Abby. Morgan will head for Abby to get her bone and when Abby grabs the bone and runs away Morgan throws a fit. It's too funny! She is definitely showing her red headed temper!
is pulling up and into everything. She wants anything that she is not suppose to have. She loves to get into Abby's water bowl and will either dump it or play in it if you don't get to her quick enough. She loves the Christmas tree and chewing on it or taking the ornaments off.
rolls and wants to get up the second you lay her down to change her diaper. That's real fun when she has poop all over her booty!
has waved bye-bye 2 times. The first time I was telling her to tell the baby in the mirror bye-bye and she did. I thought it was probably a fluke. Then a couple of days later I told her to wave bye-bye to someone and she did. So maybe she is learning how to do it. I am trying to teach her baby sign language but she just looks at me like I'm an idiot. Right now we are working on food, drink, and more.
loves to give kisses.................sometimes. Some days she won't stop giving them to you and other days she turns her head and won't give any. It's so cute when she does though. She leans in and opens her mouth real wide. They're big and slobbery but I'll take them anytime I can get them!!
"dances" when she hears familiar music. She does her head side to side and looks super cute! She will dance to the music of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Patty Cake, and Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer. When I sing Patty Cake she also slaps her hands on her legs. I guess this is her way of clapping right now. I have always clapped her hands but she hasn't figured it out yet.
has babbled more this month. She babbles ya, da, and LOVES to squeal, both in anger and just because.
hates her carseat! She is getting a new one for Christmas that sits her up more so we are hoping that she will be able to see out the window and won't be as cranky in the car.
is loving the Christmas tree! She loves to pull the ornaments, lights and ribbon OFF! Thankfully she hasn't pulled it over yet, but I've put the ribbon back too many times. She also sat on Santa's lap with no problem. She didn't cry like I thought she would but she didn't smile either. Course this was no surprise because she refuses to smile for other people OR pictures.
is the cutest, most precious baby EVER!!!! We love our baby girl more and more every day and really enjoy her. Just wish time would slow down......................

Morgan and Mommy
I am so blessed to be this little girls momma! She is such
a blessing and the sunshine in my every day! I think
she is absolutely beautiful and perfect in every way!
She is super silly and growing more and more into
her own personality. I can't imagine my life
with out this precious gift God gave us!
Thank you Jesus, for knowing exactly what I needed!!
My First Pumpkin
Our first tradition with Morgan was to carve a pumpkin. Cory and I have done this a couple of times and we have also done it a time or two with Kobi. I know it's a little ridiculous since Morgan really couldn't help us or even know what was going on, but that didn't matter to me. First of all I had seen a super cute pumpkin on Pinterest and secondly I just couldn't wait till she was old enough to understand. I was so glad we did it and I think the pumpkin turned out really cute!

First Halloween
We thought her first Halloween was going to be
packed full because there was so many things
going on. But plans changed. We were going
to take her to the Trunk Or Treating at the
Civic Center the Wednesday before. But when we
rounded the corner and saw how many people
were in line, we quickly changed our mind. It was
ridiculous how many people were there. Then
there was a Fall Festival we wanted to take her to,
but we ended up being out of town. Then
Halloween night, we were going to take her
to another Trunk Or Treating, but it ended up
being really cold that night so we decided against
that too. Instead, we stayed home and passed out candy.
Well we only ended up giving candy to about 5 people.
Nobody else on our street was passing our candy and
since we are at the end of the street people couldn't really
see our light on. So there was no reason to think we might
not have enough candy. In fact we had way too much!!
Hopefully next year we will be able to take Morgan
our so she can experience it better. I still think we all
ended up having fun.

Our Cute Little Pumpkin
I couldn't wait for October to get here so I could clean out
a pumkpin and stick Miss Morgan in it. When I was
picking one out I was so afraid she woudn't fit in it.
Thankfully she did and I thought this picture turned out
really cute. This is about the best one I got. I don't know if she was
tired, didn't like the feel of it or what, but she was not
too happy! At least I got one descent picture!

Happy 6 months old Baby Girl
(1 week late)
Miss Morgan is half a year old! Wow!! She has been in our lives for six months. Doesn't seem like it's been that long but at the same time it seems like we've had her forever. She truly makes me happy when skies are gray!! I can have a terrible day at work and come home to her smiling face and the worries of the day fade away. I know it sounds cheesy but it's so very true! I love our little girl more then anything.
At 6 months Morgan:
weighs and is inches long. She eats 6 ounces 4 times a days, sometimes 5 depending on what time she wakes up at night/early morning. She eats a fruit with cereal in the morning and a vegetable at night. She no longer sucks it off the spoon but opens her mouth like a little baby bird waiting for more. Sometimes gets upset when you aren't shoveling it in fast enough. Drinks out of a sippy cup during meal times.
wears size 3 diapers. They a little too big but the size 2's are too small. Wears 6 month clothing and some 6-9 month. Wears size 2 shoes but will be out of those very quickly.
started crawling on Sunday October 14. We had been in Branson with my grandparents and my mom and had been persuading her all weekend to crawl. We walked through the door at home, I sat her down on the floor and she took off. Little stinker! Now she is into EVERYTHING! She loves to eat Abby's bones and will chase her all over to get to her and the bone.
started sitting up about a week after she started crawling. One day she just sat right up like she had been doing it forever. She is now a pro and does it all the time. No more laying down for this little girl.
is in the beginning stages of pulling up. She can do it great with your help but is still very wobbly when she tries to do it herself. But getting better very quickly.
eats baby food like we never feed her. She loves veggies but isn't crazy about a lot of fruit, just like her momma. We tried bananas again to see if she still broke out. She did fine so I guess it was just a fluke or I am paranoid. Who knows! She is starting to be very interested in what you are eating and is starting to reach for it. We haven't really tried giving her much real food except mashed potato's which she gagged on.
acts like she is teething, drooling, chewing on everything (and has been for months) but has no teeth in sight. People keep telling me this really is a good thing, that it's not good when they get teeth early. Ok, fine with me.
is starting to sleep a little better at night. I put her on a schedule and that has really seemed to help. She still wakes up around 3:00 but this is way better then 2 or 3 times a night. I really think the 3:00 is a habit again because we usually feed her then. I know she can go longer, but breaking that habit is a different story.
can pretty much hold her own bottle. This is bittersweet because it means she is getting closer and closer to not needing momma for EVERYTHING but can be nice when I need to do something.
has started "talking" again. She jabbers, grunts, squeals, and makes some kind of weird noise all the time now. She fake coughs and sometimes smiles about it. She still does not laugh out loud but will sometimes squeal when I am tickling her.
has started shaking her head and scrunching her nose up when we lay her down to change her. I am going to try and get it on video because it is so darn cute! She tries to escape when you change her by rolling over and moving like crazy. Sometimes it is next to impossible to get a diaper on her. I know it is only going to get harder.
loves to give kisses! I don't know that she knows what we are doing but when we say "give me kisses" she will lean in with her mouth open. It's super sweet! Lately she has been sticking her tongue out too and you get a really slobbery kiss. But I'll take those slobbery kisses any day!!
I am looking forward to the upcoming holiday seasons with our baby girl! I'm so excited to start new traditions and enjoy watching her experience new things. So very in love with our baby girl!

Big Girl Way Too Fast
Not only is Morgan crawling, she is now sitting up. When I got home today I sat down in the floor to play with her and before I knew it she pushed herself right up to sitting position. I looked at mom as if to ask if she had been doing this and she said that was the first time had seen her do it. I still think she will be pulling up before we know it. She is getting too big too fast!

We've Got a Crawler
Yup, you read that right! Morgan is crawling! She crawled for the first time on Sunday October 14. We had just literally walked through the door from a weekend at Branson with my grandparents. I sat her down and was about to start helping Cory unpack the car and she just started crawling. She had been acting like she was going to for weeks, up on all fours, rocking back and forth, even putting one knee forward. But Sunday, she finally did it. I had to grab the video camera and record it I was so excited. Now she is EVERY where! It's funny to watch her though because she will make a couple moves and then put her tooshy in the air, or sit back down like she's not sure about it. She also does this sliding, pushing forward thing. She is getting better and better at just crawling and will be a pro in not time. She also has another new trick. She's not pulling herself up like on the side of the couch, but she's will lean over something (like her piano) and then stand up, while still leaning over. I think she will be pulling herself up very soon. This girl is getting too big too fast!
She's back to jabbering and squealing all the time again. She had done this about a month ago and stopped. Really wasn't very vocal in the past weeks, (I was actually getting kind of worried) but she found her voice again and this time is squealing loud!
She has also started throwing fits here and there. Today she threw one when we took Abby's bone away from her. Then we had to hide it because every time she would see the bone she would start squealing and crying. She loves to take Abby's bones away from her and chew on them. We have to watch her very closely.
She is eating like a champ now. No more sucking the baby food off the spoon. She is actually opening her mouth and eating it. Mealtime is so much cleaner now.
So loving this baby girl more and more every day. Looking forward to experiencing the upcoming holiday seasons with her!
